Gareth Southgate suggested that Ivan Toney might be given the opportunity to showcase his capabilities for Euro 2024 in the upcoming match against Belgium.
Toney, who is 28 years old, has only earned one cap so far, coming off the bench against Ukraine last year. He aims to make the most of this chance after returning from an eight-month ban related to Football Association betting rules in January.
When questioned about the significance of Tuesday’s match for Toney, Southgate acknowledged the importance, stating, “It’s evident. He’s aware of it.”
